Résumé
Li Qiong attempts in this book to deliver a study of Chinese architecture and show how this aspect of Chinese culture is closely linked to China's historical background. The first chapter focuses on the general development from traditionnal Chinese architecture to large-scaled modernization that occurred in the past decades, while the following chapters are dedicated to more specific architecture references such as Beijing's monuments, Suzhou's famous gardens and the Great Wall.
