Book Description
Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education: Quick Vocabulary Handbook, a practical vocabulary learning manual for Chinese language learners, is compiled in strict accordance with the “List of Chinese Vocabulary” in Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education.
According to the “three levels and nine bands” of the Standards, Quick Vocabulary Handbook is composed of eight volumes (levels 7 to 9 are divided into two volumes), and this volume belongs to Level 4, which contains all the 1,000 words in Level 4. With 20 words per unit, this volume seeks to turn vocabulary learning into parts and improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning, so that learners can complete one unit of vocabulary learning and practice every day. The book organizes the words in phonetic order and illustrates and shows the words in four dimensions: pronunciation, word class, definition and usage. At the same time, the book focuses on the combination of learning and practice, and after finishing one unit, learners can practice intensively through the “Quick Practice” section with various types of practice questions, each focusing on different aspects and complementing the others.
About the Author
Zhou Biji is an associate professor at the College of International Cultural Exchange, Central China Normal University, and also a visiting scholar at the Department of East Asian Languages and Literature, University of Hawaii. Professor Zhou has been to the Confucius Institute at Carleton University in Canada, Malaysia, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Kansas in the United States to teach Chinese.
Zhu Li is a teacher at the College of International Cultural Exchange, Central China Normal University. She has been engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language for nearly 20 years, whose research mainly focuses on the method of TCFL and the compilation and development of Chinese textbooks, etc.

The book explains words concisely and gives practical and common phrases and example sentences to show the common usage of words and the context in which they are used. 《国际中文教育中文水平等级标准·词汇速记速练手册》完全依据《国际中文教育中文水平等级标准》的“词汇表”进行编写，是面向中文学习者的实用型词汇学习用书。
《词汇速记速练手册》依照《标准》“三等九级”的划分情况，共八个分册（七—九级分为上下册），本册为四级分册，收录四级全部词语，共1000词。内部以20个词语为一单元，力求将词汇学习化整为零，提升词汇学习效率，学习者可以每天完成一单元词语的学练。本书按音序编排词语，分别从读音、词性、释义、用法四个维度对词语进行说明和展示。同时，注重学练结合，学习者在完成一单元词语的学习后，通过“速练”板块进行强化练习，练习题型丰富，各有侧重，互为补充。
作者简介
周毕吉，华中师范大学国际文化交流学院副教授，美国夏威夷大学东亚语言文学系访问学者。曾赴加拿大卡尔顿大学孔子学院、马来西亚、美国堪萨斯大学孔子学院等地从事汉语教学。
朱力，华中师范大学国际文化交流学院教师。从事对外汉语教学近二十年，主要研究方向为对外汉语教学法、汉语教材的编写与开发等。
