梅卫东，中国京剧艺术大师梅兰芳之孙，受父亲梅绍武和叔父梅葆玖影响孩提时代就对中国戏剧与西洋音乐感兴趣，并把继承梅派艺术和弘扬京剧艺术作为自己一生恪守的义务。曾协助父亲梅绍武出版《我的父亲梅兰芳》回忆录，在日本期间曾多次协助叔父梅葆玖率梅兰芳剧团的访日演出以及与日本艺能界的文化交流，参与大型纪录片《梅兰芳》的在日拍摄，并与父亲梅绍武共同编著出版《梅兰芳自述》一书。
